John Bradford
John is the Executive Director of YCAPS. He is also an adjunct senior fellow in the Maritime Security Programme at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
His research focuses on Asian security with special attention given to maritime issues and cooperative affairs.
He retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of Commander. He holds a PhD in War Studies from King's College London.

Annette Bradford
Annette is an Education and Policy Advisor at YCAPS.
Annette’s research interests focus on education policy and the language and cultural elements of international cooperation.
She recently completed a fellowship with the Japan Foundation Indo-Pacific Partnership Program, researching maritime capacity-building activities. She holds an EdD in Educational Administration and Policy from the George Washington University.

Scott Edwards
Scott is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya’s Department of International and Strategic
Studies, and a Senior Research Fellow at YCAPS.
Scott's research interests center on the regional politics of Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on collective efforts combatting novel security issues. He is proactive in policy engagement, and is continually exploring how his work can inform policy debates.
Scott holds a PhD in Internatila Relations from the University of Birmingham.

Hahn Nyugen
Hanh Nguyen is a Ph.D. scholar at the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, the Australian National University. She is also a YCAPS fellow and administrator of the Maritime Security Network. Her research interests include the economic-security nexus, Southeast Asia’s relations with great powers, and Vietnam’s foreign policy.
